Performer Profiles
John Winn of Galaxy of Thrills
John WinnFor seven generations that began in Munich, West Germany, John Winn's family has been in the thrill show business.  Originally, his family performed at fairs and special events throughout Europe with acts specializing in horses and aerial acts, teaching each generation of children to perform as early as three years old.

John was first introduced to the high wire when he was  just a baby, when his dad, Hans, took him up and strapped him onto the back of another person. At age three, John climbed out onto the high wire for the first time himself -  forty feet high in the air, without a net.

In the mid-sixties, at the age of five, John's family immigrated to the United States and, at the same time, switched their acts from horses to motorcycles.

John grew up touring and performing with his family throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Japan.  His specialties included breathtaking routines upon the 90' high sway poles, and motorcycle high acts with amazing feats 90 feet and more in the air. The Winn name has become well known within the international Show Business market and they are holders of two world records.  Their "High Acts" have become one of the most imitated acts in show business, but have yet to be equaled.

In 1984, John married Tina, a performer herself, and the two began working in routines together on the motorcycle incline wire act and on the high poles.  Later, John and Tina created their high-tech brand of performances with very unique and new extreme aerial thrill performances which today make up the Galaxy of Thrills.

When it comes to their performances, John is a perfectionist in every way.  He insists on building and setting up all their equipment and rigging himself.  In his off time, he likes to spend time with his family at his Sarasota home, fishing, scuba diving, and going to the beach.

Original photograph courtesy of John Tremblay, 2004Tina Winn hails from the Scott family of England, famous for the bare back riding act known as the Dorchesters.  From a family of circus performers going back seven generations, her family has performed as part of the "Scott's Royal Circus" for Queen Victoria in the 1800's.
Her parents moved to the United States from England in 1955 with her three sisters.  However, Tina was the only one born in the United States.

She started performing at age four, doing a unicycle act with her three sisters. Growing up, she was featured at many American circuses, fairs, theme parks, thrill shows, rock concerts, and major sporting events. As an aerial specialist, she has thrilled audiences with her death defying "seemingly impossible" feats high above the crowds.

She first met John when she was only nine years old, and the two began dating at the age of eighteen until the time they were married in 1984.  Since their marriage, Tina has performed with John as part of an inseparable team, performing their thrill shows at events worldwide.

Today, Tina is wife and partner to husband John and mother to daughter Ashley, but when she performs, she is magically transformed into her famous trademarked superstar character called Galaxy GirlTrade Mark.  Galaxy GirlTrade Mark performs her extreme "never seen before" aerial show more than 127 feet high in the air, performing superhuman feats on her "High Pole trapeze", then ascending higher to perform on top of her "Aerial Space Platform".

The popularity of Galaxy GirlTrade Mark has created a whole new industry with her own cartoon superhero character, clothing line, costumes, and Galaxy GirlTrade Mark accessories.  The beautiful Galaxy GirlTrade Mark is truly becoming known as America's newest extreme sports action superhero as she takes audiences to new heart pounding heights of excitement like they've never experienced before!
Ashley Winn of Galaxy of Thrills
Ashley WinnThe graceful skill of performing is definitely in the family genes!  Joining the eighth generation of performers is John and Tina's 20-year-old daughter,  Ashley.

Miss Ashley was born in Duluth, MN, and picked up her first hula hoop at the age of five.  After teaching herself to hula hoop, Ashley began practicing and performing routines until she could keep as many as fifty hula hoops in constant motion around her body.

Ashley is known nationwide as the youngest hula hoop sensation, even receiving a silver medal for her performance when she was seven years old and, more recently, two golden medals for her Hula Hoop Madness routine at the circus.

Today, at the age of twenty, Ashley has created and produced her "Hula Hoop Madness" show, performing her routine at fairs, concerts, premieres, and special events across the country.

Aside from her hula hoop performances, Ashley has worked in an elephant show with the circus.  At various times, she performs high in the sky on the inclined cable motorcycle high wire act, and most recently has been seen standing inside the "Galaxy Globe" as a pair of motorcycle riders whirl and somersault around and over her at breakneck speeds inside the globe, raging just mere inches from her head.
